A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is the 1987 novelization of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

It is based on the screenplay.

The screenplay and the novelization are both very different than the film.

It shouldn't be confused with the book adaptation by Bob Italia.

It is a part of the book The Nightmares on Elm Street Parts 1, 2, 3: The Continuing Story.
