For the novelisation version, see Jump Rope Children (disambiguation).

The Jump Rope Children are characters in A Nightmare on Elm Street (film series).

Throughout the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series, we see several of them appearing to the characters.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984 film)[]

In A Nightmare on Elm Street, one group of apparently living Jump Rope Children appear on the front lawn of Springwood High School in what appears to be the physical world.

Another group appears near 1428 Elm Street in what appears to be a dream Nancy Thompson is having. These may be some of Freddy Krueger's pre-death victims.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge[]

Angela Walsh jumps rope and sings One, Two, Freddy's Coming For You in her bedroom in a dream Jesse Walsh is having. Obviously, she wasn't one of Freddy Krueger's pre-death victims.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors[]

In Kristen Parker's first dream, two girls move the rope, while a boy jumps it, a boy and a girl throw a ball back and forth to each other, and a girl rides a tricycle. (Technically speaking, the ball throwers and the tricycle rider can't be considered jump rope children, but they are associated with them.)

Freddy vs. Jason[]

In a dream, there are three Jump Rope Children in a cemetery in front of 1428 Elm Street. The hint really isn't subtle here.
