Ken Walsh is a character in Jesse's Lost Journal.

He is the husband to Cheryl Walsh and also the father of Angela Walsh and Jesse Walsh. Ken is a no-nonsense type father who ironically blames lack of discipline for Jesse's problems.

While the events depicted in Jesse's Lost Journal are not part of the series timeline or canon, Mark Patton (who played Jesse Walsh in A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) wrote a string of events that he believes could go down in history as "what really happened." Following the timeline of the film series, the events we see in Freddy's Revenge take place in 1985, while the events described in Jesse's diary are mentioned as occurring in 1982 and 1985.

Ken Walsh is a crucial character in the life of his son Jesse. It is Jesse himself who assures in his diary entries that his father is violent and severe with him and with the whole family. Jesse also finds pornographic magazines in the basement belonging to his father.

When Jesse was put in prison for Ron's crimes, the massacre at Lisa's house, and many other events, he forgot his diary at the house on Elm Street. The police looking for incriminating evidence of Jesse, end up running into the diary and it is that same diary that serves as convincing evidence to put Ken behind bars. It is known that Ken was a pederast who raped underage girls, even Jesse says that Ken would do the same with his own daughter Angela when she grew a little older.

Finally the father hangs himself in his own cell, Angela Walsh is taken to a reception center and later Cheryl commits suicide.

Ken's personality brings conflicts within the family since he has a strict and serious posture, he usually gives too many orders and does not allow people to think differently from him. He also believes that he knows absolutely everything and that everything has a logical explanation, thus leaving the supernatural side as a mere hypothesis that should not be given value.

Physical appearance[]

Ken Walsh is introduced as an older man (he even seems older than Cheryl), with brown eyes and graying chocolate hair who usually wears glasses.

Jesse Walsh[]

His behavior with Jesse is harsh, blaming him for unexplained things, not allowing his son to speak on a couple of occasions. Although he shows concern for his son by wanting to know if he was using drugs or not, the next day instead of having a talk with his son, he preferred to put bars on the windows as if it were an extreme situation.

Cheryl Walsh[]

He usually has conflicts with his wife since she is much more understanding and calm, while he is much more closed and easy to get angry. When Jesse confronts his father in the kitchen saying that he knew a woman had died in the house, Cheryl gets mad at Ken for keeping the information from them.

Angela Walsh[]

Ken cares about his daughter and is the first one he seeks to protect when something strange and inexplicable happens in the house.
