A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge[]

At the beginning of the film, Kerry is talking to Lisa about if she likes Jesse during physical education class. Later, she asking Lisa about Sunday's party at her house and makes a puzzled face when he learns that Eddie (Lisa's father) was going to be at the party. It sounds like the party might be a special opportunity for her to bond with Ron, but once she asks if he's going and he tells her he's not because she pushed her grandmother down the stairs, she makes a face again of bewilderment.

However, at the party she is seen making out with a guy in the pool and having a good time with her friends. She moves away from her for a moment and sits on the edge of the pool next to Lisa seeing her friend sad about her, Lisa tells her about Jesse and Kerry advises her to look for him if she really loves him. That same night Kerry witnessed Freddy's Krueger massacre at the party with Lisa's relatives and some high school classmates.

At the end of the film when she, Lisa and Jesse are talking on the bus, with her telling Jesse that it's all over, Freddy Krueger's Gloved hand bursts through her chest killing her as Jesse and Lisa scream in terror. Her soul was absorbed by Freddy.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master[]

Kerry's soul like that of all of Freddy's victims is released when Alice beats Freddy.

Kerry Hellman's personality is not much explored in the second film in the series. So the only thing that can be deduced from her is that she is someone funny, nice, who falls in love easily and who will always be looking to add joy to serious moments. She also seems to be a very good friend to Lisa, always giving her advice and putting a smile on her face when she is sad.

Physical appearance[]

Kerry Hellman is introduced to the story as a young woman with curls, brown eyes and a dreamy smile with a great sense of fashion.

Lisa Webber[]

Kerry does not hesitate to give her advice when she sees her sad or too thoughtful, both seem to be best friends although this is not explicit in the film, however, they are always together.

Ron Grady[]

Ron seems to be a love interest, however, he doesn't pay too much attention to her. While this is not made explicit in the film, it is stated in Jesse's Lost Journal (written by Mark Patton) that Kerry was very much in love with Ron. Still, this doesn't stop Kerry from meeting new guys, like at Lisa's house party. When she kisses one guy in the pool and rejects another when she walks up to him and puts a hand on her legs.

Jesse's Lost Journal[]

While the events depicted in Jesse's Lost Journal are not part of the series timeline or canon, Mark Patton (who played Jesse Walsh in A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) wrote a string of events that he believes could go down in history as "what really happened." Following the timeline of the film series, the events we see in Freddy's Revenge take place in 1986, while the events described in Jesse's diary are mentioned as occurring in 1982 and 1985.

Kerry is a recurring character in Jesse's journals, she was only mentioned in a couple of entries. From Jesse's perspective, Kerry is a girl who has a crush on Ron and that is why she is so insistent that he go to Lisa's house party. Jesse thinks Ron is tired of her and that's why he decides not to go to the party, assuming that Ron also knows that Kerry has feelings for him but that he doesn't love her in the same way.

  • (To Lisa): "Hey, what's wrong with Jesse? He seems kinda freaked out."
  • (To Lisa): "Fuck the party. Go see him."
