Mike (named Spike in the movie) is a character in Jesse's Lost Journal.

He was a student at Springwood High School.

Story[]

While the events depicted in Jesse's Lost Journal are not part of the series timeline or canon, Mark Patton (who played Jesse Walsh in A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) wrote a string of events that he believes could go down in history as "what really happened." Following the timeline of the film series, the events we see in Freddy's Revenge take place in 1986, while the events described in Jesse's diary are mentioned as occurring in 1982 and 1985.

Relatively little is known about how Jesse Walsh ends up meeting and having an affair with Mike, mostly because he was only named in two of his diary entries. In the first entry that mentions him is the night of the party at Lisa Webber's house, in which he describes how devastated he was to find out that Freddy possessed his body and killed Mike while Mike looked at him with beautiful eyes and tried to calm everyone.

In the second entry it is mentioned that he had sex with Mike but it wasn't nice because he forced him to perform oral sex on him and he was rough in the process. It was the first time they had sex and it was during Lisa's party, Mike even slapped him a couple of times and hit him with his fist while telling him that he was "stupid for not hiding his things better" (referring to Jesse's teeth).

Personality[]

Mike's personality is not explored in the journal entries, however, at first glance it is mentioned that he can be a violent young man on certain occasions.

Physical appearance[]

There was no physical description of the character.

Relationships[]

Jesse Walsh[]

The only relationship they had was momentary, one night only, involving sexual abuse and physical and verbal violence.

Trivia[]

  • It is likely that when Mark Patton wrote the story, he rewatched A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge and thought he heard the name "Mike" instead of "Spike" since they sound similar phonetically.
