Notes[]
- Freddy is said to have been born in 1942, to have committed his first known murder in 1967, to have been killed in 1974, and to have returned in 1984. One of his latest strings of murders is also mentioned as having taken place in 2003, presumably referencing Freddy vs. Jason.
- While taunting Grace Simmons, Freddy brings up his mother, Amanda Krueger, who he sardonically calls "a saint." He further mocks Grace by exclaiming, "You have only one maniac for a father. I've got a hundred of them!"
- The novel is set at an unspecified point in the then-future, either the late 2000s or the early 2010s, as one of the brains being studied is said to have been taken from someone who Freddy murdered "twenty-five years ago" in the mid-1980s.
